ASM Computer Consulting, Inc field service engineer: Contractor
Position is flat rate.
This individual will perform onsite repairs, which include installation of warranty replacement laptop/ desktop part for Dell/Lenovo systems will be the bulk of warranty parts replacement and configuration. Limited onsite troubleshooting will be required, but in instances where troubleshooting is necessary (failed repair, no post, doa parts, etc.) all troubleshooting onsite by technicians will be supported via Dell/Lenovo/Other phone tech support. In every case dealing with Dell and Lenovo, initial troubleshooting is done well before tech is onsite.
Background and Drug Test required, Technician must be A certified or equivalent.
Specific skill and certifications:
-Familiar with desktop and laptop hardware replacement.
-Familiar with troubleshooting steps for both hardware and Windows software
-Familiarization with Dell and Lenovo products is preferred, but all product training will be provided that the technician will work on in the field.
Calls take on average 30-40 minutes to complete, depending on efficiency and familiarity. Some repairs take less than 30 minutes, depends on part replacement type.
Parts management required (proper return, waybill record), call completion recording, call completion through phone system, etc. Call entry for billing will be required. Cell phone provided, and working transportation required.
Local travel required, as work is done at customers site. Technician will be paid a flat rate per call
Required Dell DCSE training will be provided
